So im all happy baecause I just got some cool news and was celebrating with my boys at this bar right...So as soon as I sit down this old drunk dude starts saying some really bizzare stuff to me... He was like "In life you eventually have to choose ...you cant stay in the middle forever... you've have been flying real high for a while, but perhaps you should slow down and look around a little bit, check some shit out!!" I swear to you that I have never seen this man before in my life!!! Then he stared at me for a long time...... It was so freaky..... I just sat on the bar stool going "whah?????????"He was dead serious too.... Anyway it creeped me out so my friends and I beat it* Im still a little sketched out about it though....A message from the other side perhaps? Or maybe just another bar stool philosopher? You tell me....(insert creepy music here)

Are we not suppose to talk about things that pertain to politics? I dont know about you, but I dont want anybody telling me that I cant express my own views about the things that are going on in my own country (our country)... I smell corruption and it stinks like some bull shit!

In the 70's people realized that something was seriously wrong with the way society was run and they faught back! Im definitely feelin' that spirit... I think If our leaders worried less about dollars and more about humanity and how we relate to and harmonize with our environment, we could solve so many of the current problems we see today..... If they could stop being so addicted to greed and lead through a sense of responsibility to EVERYONE who lives on this planet, maybe the compassion they would start to develop could be used as a tool towards not only inner peace, but world peace

Finishing the last two songs for the EP... Then on my way to a party later tonight...Partytime is the time when you drop whatever inhabitions you have and just party...When times are good I like to take full advantage... I have no idea why im thinking of this right now...If it were my party though, I would make you leave something at the door before you could be allowed inside..... Every person would be different depending on what I could sense from their energy..... Needless to say there would be quite a few nake people... but only if you're really uptight ;)

I am such a work-a-holic, I had to force my self to take a break the other day (Valentines day, yuk!) ...funny thing is... My cat Jackson and I were just playing his favorite game "paper ball" (a game where I toss a crumpled up piece of paper at him and he chases it) and I accidentally threw the paper under the couch. He did the craziest thing I have ever seen a cat do..... While lying on his side he used one hand to get the paper and a foot to grip the carpet so he could slide... My freakin' cat just glided across the floor like a snake! It was so weird.. I never knew cats could do that... wish I had a camera handy.

I am so happy that 2009 is over. That was the hardest year of my life. I learned a ton, but next time I do it the easy way! Who knows wtf this year will bring. There isnt even a point in trying to guess.... seeing all of you will make me very happy though. I cant wait to sing and dance with u guys in 2010, its going to be so much fun, of that we can all be can be sure!

One of my fav people in the whole world bought me a juicer for christmas. I never knew how energizing FRESH juice could be. Wow I really needed vitamins, bad*

Played the Didgeridoo for an hour this morning, felt good. Vocal lessons can be intense but the Didgeridoo helps you with breath control and overall technique. What a great instrument. My good friend Steve taught me how to play it. Heading out to see some dancers that choreographed some moves to Green Tea. So fun! Its like a physical interpretation of my lyrics! Amungus rehearsal later today also. Lets see, what else...Exciting things happening in the art world for me, working on something new ( in addition to Amungus). Cant wait to share.

Today is the first day I've had to myself in what feels like FOREVER. Im very greatful for this. Sometimes I just need to reflect on things. I need to sit in silence and be with myself. Im so calm today, it feels wonderful! I need to have more days like this.

In other news, we (Amungus) are prepping for M.I.A show (thats Music Is Art) on SEPT 12th, its been a bit crazy but fun as always. Really looking forward to the release of this next Amungus EP. Finally I can say to myself "now this is what Im talkin about!" Onward.

Back to NYC for more fun, music, chatting, hanging, and most importantly hustling! On the grind 24/7 with my art. I LOVE what I do. There is no high like the one I get from creating. It really is like labor. When the baby is born I'm like (awwww, yay!). So far I have quite a few kids, most of them I like, but this latest litter is my fav (For those of you that haven't caught on yet, of course I am referring to my songs, not actual kids!) Don't email me like "Alex, you have children?!" The only thing I've ever nursed was a hangover, and I couldn't even do that properly!

I dont mean like on tv where its scripted, I mean let me tell you what I go through as an artist expressing myself through music...You have to deal with all kinds of shit from people, its like everyday somebodys got a new shit delivery and its got your name all over it! Boyfriend shit, family shit, music business shit, slave job shit (the worst shit of all b/c they pay your bills), not to mention PERSONAL shit of your own.
Unavoidable, but boy I tell you, as soon as some BIG TIME shit comes my way, I mean the GOOD SHIT, Im dropping out and getting a farm.... FUCK it! You can have your society, I want no parts of this savage affair!

Robby and Brian are both super busy with the new music and their own stuff as well. The GGD's are finishing their latest record plus Slender Fungus always has a ton of things in the works.
